Is Bat Man Arkham Knight Finally Fixed?

You may remember Rocksteadys squeal to the popular action beat 'em up Arkham series, Arkham Knight, it had THE worst PC port of all time for a AAA game. The title released the same time as the console version with the only difference being the massive reports of game breaking problems that flooded the Steam forums soon after. Reports of graphical and hardware problems made the game unplayable even for those with top of the range gaming rigs. Rocksteady acknowledged this problem right away and felt like the best course of action would be pulling the game completely from Steam and the game has been unlisted since last June.

So after a few months of Rocksteady working day and night, they have finally released a patch for the game claiming to fix these reported bugs and problems. Reviews of the patch and game, after installing, are massively positive at the moment and confirm the game to be in a playable state.

As I didn't jump on the hype train for Arkham Knight I didn't experience the problems and nor can confirm if this information is true. However I do take the word of trusted Youtubers and Friends who own the game on PC.

So if you own a copy of the game be sure to find the latest patch and restore the game to its much deserved glory.

Patch notes are listed below (credit to GameSpot)

  • Reduced frame rate hitches
  • Optimizations for system memory and Vram usage
  • Improved performance on all GPU's (requires latest drivers)
  • More comprehensive in-game settings
  • fixed low resolution texture bugs
  • fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD)
