Fallout 4 DLC Announced Already?

Besthda have already announced their DLC plans for the highly awaited Fallout 4. As they are still finishing up the game they haven't actually got a clue what the DLC will include but can promise you wont see it till 2016. Their main plan of action is to release a DLC season pass -a phrase dirtier than your month old bed sheets- for just $30. Before you roll your eyes in your head they have already promised this pass will grant you EVERY bit of downloadable content they create, and although that should be a given, I seem to remember quite a few games where a season pass would only get you the main DLC and not the smaller expansion.. Im looking at you Borderlands 2.

So just how much will they create? Well most people have compared the game to its predecessor Fallout 3, where 5 expansion were released, and have already called to the mountains in joy of how much DLC they will get for just 30 dollars. But I don't think this will be the case, I mean if we think about just how much work has already gone into Fallout 4 and how they have already explained there's over 400 hours of content in the main game, I just don't think they will go as far as 5 bonus content packs. I have a feeling they will go down the same road they did with Skyrim and release 2 DLC's of a good size which include game changing features such as the crossbow, dragon riding or completely new lands.

Along side the packs, they have also promised regular free updates similar to those they gave to us with Skyrim, these included horse back combat and kill cams so we can expect some nice little touch ups and fan requests. They did also announce their plans to release a new version of the content creator kit, used by themselves to develop the main game. Modders can pick this up for free a few months after the game hits shelves.

I have one hope for Fallout 4's future and that is Mod Week. A few years ago when Skyrim was released, Bethesda held a week where all the employs would create mods, little or big, and place them into a showcase. This week was responsible for both the Hearthstone DLC and the dragon mounts as well as a lot of the free updates. Having the same contest for Fallout 4 would bring great things, Im sure of it.
