STEAM offering refunds?

Valve's game selling platform Steam is a digital market for PC games however they're download only no disk's sent out. This of course creates the problem of no trade in value or refunds for broken copies and this has always been a major topic due to steams huge library of broken unfinished rip off games.

Steam has been known to offer refunds in the past to a VERY slim amount of people with excellent reasons and only then its because the customer service was having a good day.

The requirements for a refund are as follows

  • You have purchased the game less than 14 days ago
  • You have a active playing time of less than 2 hours logged on that game
  • You provide a reason for the refund
Some game designers are upset about this concept as many games are made to be completed in less than 2 hours and thus making no profit. Even when issued a refund, you will still only been refunded in steam wallet money.
