Rainbow Six Siege WONT Feature Single-Player Campaign - Is This How Games Will Be From Now On?

Scott Mitchell, the art director for Rainbow Six Siege, spoke at this years EGX convention telling us that the game wouldn't feature much in the way of single player. He explained how the game would offer custom matches as well as training against A.I bots and the ability to jump in with offline co-op matches, but no single player. Confirming that the games main focus will be the multiplayer aspect and that it would not feature ANY missions of the sort.

Mitchell then went on to explain "You're still unlocking the same content as you would in PvP. You're still gaining stars, renown points and new operatives"

Rainbow Six Siege is just one of the few AAA titles that recently decided shelling out £50 for a current gen game DOESN'T warrant needing a single player. Popular games such as Star Wars Battlefront, Evolve and more have completely binned campaigns and have put all their focus to making a great multiplayer.. which will no doubt still be under prepared for the waves of players on day 1 which will lead to server crashes and render the game unplayable for about 3 days.

Do you personally think its okay that AAA company's try to justify not putting in a single player? Other games such as Halo put the effort to deliver a amazing story with details and interesting characters AND provide amazing online multiplayer, leading to endless hours of fun with friends  as well as competitive tournaments while other company's pump out online-only games that barley work and deem a bad reputation due to the short replay-abilty. My main concern for games like these are, what happens when the servers finally go offline? Yes that may not be for another 10 years or so but to someone who makes this their favorite game in the universe I doubt they'll be to happy that all content is then shut off and locked away for ever. after spending years playing. I really don't like the way AAA titles are going lately with their attempts to pump out half finished, garbage games just to meet deadlines. I fully understand the desire to make a game that has the BEST online experience every created, but it really does seem like they're generating ideas that try to justify not having single player, thus allowing them to do less work and still make money from it. Multiplayer isn't what draws everybody to a game, I personally have a love for a single player story that really makes you remember little details and has you playing for hours on end without ever feeling like you're bumming around the world doing nothing. I can only hope that this phase of online-only games ISN'T here to stay.

Let me know what you guys think about these types of game, do you like that they only focus the multiplayer or do yo enjoy a rich story line instead? Type your thoughts in the comments below.

Was Wolfenstein 2 Just Accidentally Confirmed?

This week in an polish spoken interview, Alicja Bachleda, the actress behind the voice of Anya Oliwa ,from the hit 2014 game Wolfenstein, accidentally let it slip that she was working on a sequal to a video game she had previously stared in. With a little research, we find out that the only video game she has lent her voice to is Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Further proof to support this is the quote she gave saying "I had played previous installments of the series and enjoyed the part where I could shoot Hitler. This of course refers to the classic Wolfenstein, where the player would confront Hitler's head on a robot suit.

The polish actress also announced the game and her work would not be finished until late 2017 with the work taking place in the USA. So what does this mean? Did she just accidently confirm Wolfenstein 2? I suspect this to be true, and Im really hoping it is, but I doubt we'll find out for a very very long time due to Bethesda's nature of keeping their mouths shut!

Next Batch Of Batman Arkham Knight DLC Announced

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced their plans to release 3 separate DLC packs For Batman Arkham Knight. The packs are scheduled for release in October with each pack offering something completely different to the last.

The first pack to be announced was a story orientated add-on titled Cat Woman's Revenge. Set after the events of Arkham Knight, this DLC allows players to take on the role of Cat Woman and act out her payback on the Riddler. Not a lot of information is known about the story or what features will be added but we'll keep you posted as we hear more.

Along side the main DLC comes 1 skin pack and the third of the Crime Fighter Challenges. The Pack titled Batman classic TV skin pack changes all visuals of the Bat Mobile, Cat Woman and Robin into costumes seen on the classics TV series. Also included are 2 classic themed race tracks. Finally The third Crime Fighter Challenge Pack is said to include "various combat and predator styled maps allowing the use of Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Azreal.

All of the mentioned DLC is available with the Arkham Knight Season Pass offered by Warner Bros. Priced at $40 ( Roughly £25) the pass gives you all DLC released up until the end of 2015.

Rocksteady have already mentioned they will be taking content from the main story, villains and more, leaving me to wonder where they can go next in the way of DLC. My personal wish for DLC is a Scarecrow based story line prequaling the events of Arkham Knight or a day in the life styled story featuring the Arkham Knight and allowing players to take control and watch as Batman Foils his plans.

so what do you guys think? Are these packs enough to bring you back to the streets of Gotham? Let me know in the comments below.

Nintendo NX Controller Patent Revealed, Not Compatible with Amiibo?

A couple of months ago it was released that gaming giant Nintendo Had filed for a patent on their new console, the NX. The patent showed a device very similar to the current WiiU but without a disc drive. Now comes the news by a Neogaf user that a patent for the NX controller has been filed to the US patent office.

The diagram attached shows a controller very similar in shape to the WiiU game pad but has a few modifications, such as 2 face buttons instead of the traditional 4 as well as having scroll wheels instead of shoulder bumpers. The wheels are said to be scroll-able both left and right as well as be pressure sensitive allowing users to push them in like the shoulder buttons they are replacing. The diagram also shows us that the main focus of the controller is the touch screen in the middle of the pad, much like the WiiU game pad.

However, Here's my main concern, I see no details of a NFC station on the controller which raises the question, will Amiibo's still work with this new console? I'd hate to think they were cutting out the entire NFC play mechanic after millions were made on sales and many of us spent nearly as much collecting them. I very much doubt this is the case seeing as Amiibo's have been one of Nintendo's main source of income since they were released, but there is yet to be any details at all about how Amiibo's will fit in with the new console. Maybe news will be revealed later on in the year or in 2016. Hopefully a final patent comes out to update the design to include a NFC station to stop all our worries.

I personally like the idea of only having 2 buttons as I find in most Nintendo games that both Y & X seem to act the same as A & B, which just confuses hand placement. Although I do very much like the current WiiU game pad, Im hoping they scale the controller down in size just a tad and reduce the amount of pain it causes your hands when holding for a very long time.

What do you guys think? do you think Nintendo are planning to kick out the Amiibo craze? let us know in the comments below and be sure to subscribe to the blog and follow us on Twitter to get all our latest updates as well as like us on Facebook to enter our giveaways!

Mario Maker Now Has Over 1 Million Levels

The hit game, Mario Maker, has now had over 1 million levels published by players. The game was released less than a week ago on September 11th but has already hit this huge mile stone. Nintendo announced the achievement via their Japanese Twitter account and posted a video in celebration, showing off some of their favorite levels made so far.

I personally have uploaded a few levels and can see why this game is blowing up in the charts. There's just something about designing your own Mario levels and having all the customization tools at your finger tips. This game is a must for anybody looking to have some fun and make use of their WiiU.

If you're looking to pick up Mario Maker At its cheapest you can find both versions of the game here:
